consequent和subsequent有什么区别

形容词consequent表示“因……而引起的”,指前后因果；而subsequent却表示“后来的”,“继起的”,“随后的”[later,following,coming
after],指前后顺序.
举例：

• consequent可以作形容词、名词，作形容词时意思是“随之发生的，作为结果的；，作名词时意思是“（逻辑）后件，推断。常与介词on或upon连用。

• subsequent主要作形容词，作形容词时意为“随后的”，常与介词to连用，subsequent to的意思为“在……以后”。

2. Subsequent to its success as a play, it was made into a film.
